Philosophy and fighting experience into a formidable system of self-defence through unarmed combat techniques. The Korean word "Tae" means kicking, jumping, stepping or flying with the feet; "Kwon" means punching, striking, blocking or beating of the fist; and "Do" means art, philosophy, technique or way. TaeKwonDo encourges the development of a strong body, mind and spirit. By setting goals and objectives and through regular testing students develop a more positive self image and pride. By strengthening self discipline individuals overcome fear and self doubt and grow to be more confident - building the path to excellence.
At Sung Lee TaeKwonDo Academy, our programs are family oriented to develop team spirit. When individuals work together their individual talents improve. Parents and children have the opportunity to train together which helps to strengthen the family bond by instilling loyalty and respect for one another. All family members are encourged to join. "The Family that kicks together sticks together!" |
