Most of us have already heard about the devastation up North. The wildfire, that continues to spread, has reached 85,000 hectares and has caused         more than 80,000 people to evacuate their homes in Fort McMurray and surrounding areas.

However, there is some good news; People all over Alberta and across the country are opening their hearts to the evacuees.

We at Sung Lee Taekwondo, would like to do the same.

We will be bringing in large boxes to fill with supplies for the evacuees. The donations we collect will be sent to the Red Cross to help those families         that have gone through unimaginable hardship these past few days.

The Red Cross is asking for the following NEW items:

Diapers

Baby Wipes

Soap

Shampoo

Deodorant

Small Hand Sanitizer

Toiletries

Tampons

Socks

Underwear

Hand Towels

Blankets

Please bring any of these items with you to your class and drop them off in the donation box.

The Red Cross is also asking for monetary donations to help cover the costs of food and shelter for these people.

You can donate the amount of your choosing at: https://donate.redcross.ca/ea-action/action?_ga=1.65115821.20152605.1462392723&ea.client.id=1951&ea.campaign.id=50639

You can also text:

REDCROSS to 30333 to donate $5.00

OR

FIRES to 45678 to donate $10.00

Anything that you can donate will be much appreciated. Please keep in mind that many of us have parents, spouses, other family and friends that have been affected by this great tragedy.

The family that kicks together, sticks together!
